Description
Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. The images with original "A- " negative numbers in this collection date to 1931 and may have been taken at the Warner Bros. studio in Burbank. Peggy Hamilton modeling a gown with a matching jacket. The gown has a draped neck, self tie at the waist, a low-waisted bodice ending in a petal-shaped seam, a skirt with a flounce joined with a petal-shaped seam and a petal-shaped hem at the bottom. The jacket is of a dark fabric with the lower sleeves, in a figured transparent fabric, joined with embroidery and narrowing at the cuffs. The jacket is lined in the same lighter fabric as the dress.
