Possibly related to Los Angeles Times article, December 28, 1920: Lost Black Bag Has No Sudow Clew. The black leather bag lost by Mrs Fay Sudow near Chicago … was sent to Alfred W. Allen, Mrs. Sudow’s attorney, by Fred W Wolf of Chicago, who found it on a road … the bag failed to add to the few meager clews with which the police are trying to solve the slaying. … Text from nitrate negative sleeve: ?
