Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. 2-page handwritten letter, photographed pinned to board, from Fay Sudow, addressed to Fred Allen, 711 Central Bldg., Main and 6th St., Los Angeles, Cal., with 2 envelopes, 1 postmarked Chicago, Ill., Oct 16, 5 PM, 1920, with the logo of Morrison Hotel and Terrace Garden, Chicago, and 1 postmarked Plymouth, Ill., Oct 27, 2 PM, 1920. Fay Sudow's attorney was named Alfred W. Allen, with an office at 485 Central Bldg. Text reads: Dear Mr. Allen. I received your letter. And have left for Cal. the roads are dreadfully bad and I have broke down here at Plymouth Ill. but I hope to be able to leave here in a couple of days. I will be back just as quick as I possible can get there. I would have sold my car and came back by train. But I would have had to make an oftle sacrifice. As second hand cars dont bring hardly any thing. here. And I didn't want to give my car away. Please put the trial off and I will come just as fast as I possible can. I sure will be glad to get back to Cal. As its getting pretty cold out here and does nothing but rain all the time. Hoping this finds you well. With best wishes. Sincerly, Fay Sudow.
