Approximately 15,000 persons witnessed spectacular landing maneuvers by the First Battalion of the Twenty-Fifth Reserve Marines at El Segundo yesterday … commanded by Maj. John J. Flynn …Those directing the battle under Maj. Flynn were Capt. Joseph P. Sproul, executive officer; Capt. O.E. Jensen, commander of B Company, and Capt. H.W. Card, commander of D Company.
