The theme of the 1929 fortieth annual Rose Parade was "Poems in Flowers"
Drummers dressed in white with caps and sashes. The Pasadena Memorial Flagpole (Goodhue Flagpole) is visible in its original location in the middle of the intersection of Orange Grove and Colorado Boulevard.
