Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. The theme of the 1935 forty-sixth annual Rose Parade was "Golden Legends." View of the "Legend of the Chrysanthemum" with Fugi Fugikawa in a flower petal kimono and carrying a parasol made of blossoms standing on a bridge of red pompoms over a pool of blue delphiniums. The scene is completed with a white narcissus heron, a tree and stepping stones of bronze pompoms. The float was entered by the Burbank City Schools and is shown passing the Goodhue Flagpole at the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd. and Colorado Blvd. Text from negative sleeve: Tournament of Roses, 1935
