Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. The theme of the 1935 forty-sixth annual Rose Parade was "Golden Legends." The "Iris and the Rainbow" float, entered by the city of Altadena, with Betty Wilcox as Iris holding the streamer attached to six floral peacocks, accompanied by 4 flower girls (Janet Horning, Joan Smith, Anna Kelly and Marion Rutan) all beneath a wide floral rainbow. The float was photographed at the intersection of Orange Grove Blvd. and Colorado Blvd. Text from negative sleeve: Tournament of Roses, 1935
