Former Redondo Beach school superintendent Elliot B. Thomas has been sentenced to serve one to fourteen years at San Quentin Penitentiary for the forgery of pay vouchers drawn against the County Treasury. He has misappropriated approximately $10,000.
Two forged checks are displayed from the Elliot Thomas case. Text from the checks: "Redondo Beach City--The Treasurer of the County of Los Angeles will pay one hundred ten and 50/100 to the order of Roy Nadine for 17 days' service as carpenter...."
