A different photograph of the same property on Weldon Avenue appears with the title, "Storm Follows Taking of Municipal Property," Los Angeles Times, 18 May 1932: A5
Councilman Edward L. Thrasher's home and Weldon Avenue are viewed from a slightly elevated perspective from a hillside. Weldon Avenue curves slightly as it stretches along the bottom edge. Three cars park along the far curb. At left, Councilman Thrasher's home stands in partial view and faces towards the camera. A retaining wall surrounds the yard. To the right, a neighboring house sits further down the hillside. Beyond the houses on Weldon Avenue and at the base of the hill, houses blanket the Glassell Park neighborhood as it stretches into the distance.
A different photograph of the same property on Weldon Avenue appears with the article, "LAND ANNEXING WILL BE AIRED: Thrasher Move to Enlarge Loot Develops Rumpus Council Committee Votes to Reconsider Approval Portion of Public Walkway Owned by City Involved," Los Angeles Times, 18 May 1932: A5
This photograph documents the same property that appears with the caption, “Picture Reveals Details of Councilman's Plan How plan advocated by Councilman Thrasher would turn ten feet of twenty-foot walk-way owned by the city over to adjoining property owner on the left-hand side is shown in the above. The house on the upper left with the scaffolding is where Thrasher lives and which he sold to another city employee. The ten-foot extension of the retaining wall recently built out on city property on Thrasher's say-so, also is depicted. The rest of the wall follows the dotted line on up to Weldon avenue, which the house fronts,” Los Angeles Times, 18 May 1932: A5
This negative appears to have been scanned from the wrong side.
