A uniformed Colonel Turner and Guy Ball hold a corner of the white parachute as they examine it. Guy holds a coil of rope over one shoulder.

For the first time in history a transport plane will be lowered by a parachute from an altitude of 5000 feet. The plane will be flown by Roscoe Turner and the parachute, 90 feet in diameter, is being made by parachute expert Guy Ball.
