A copy print of the USF Constitution taken from the frigate's onboard museum. The Constitution is the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat. She first became famous for her actions during the War of 1812.
This photograph appears with the article "'Old Ironsides' Arrival Nears; 'Ship That Saved Nation' Will Be Welcomed Here." Los Angeles Times, 12 Feb. 1933: pg. 19.
The USF Constitution is the world's oldest commissioned naval vessel afloat. The Constitution visited Southern California in 1933 from Jan. 21, when she arrived in San Diego, through March 19, when she departed San Pedro for San Francisco.
