Text of the press release: WATCH YOUR CREDITLA *3500*PACIFIC & ATLANTIC**LOS ANGELESWORLD CHAMP SWIMMER FROM HONOLULU ARRIVES EN ROUTE TO OLYMPIC GAMESMariechen Wehselau, world champion swimmer from Honolulu and holder of the world record for the 100 yard swim has arrived in the United States en route to the Olympic tryouts in New York on June 7-8 and thence to the Olympic games in Paris. She has, in addition to her world honors, held all island records for the past four years. This picture was taken in Los Angeles where she appeared in exhibition swims. B WFM 5/17/24
