Dr. Ray Lyman Wilbur, president of Stanford University, seen from behind, seated at the dedication ceremony for the construction of a new Lutheran university. Wilbur was the keynote speaker at the event.
The Lutheran university was never built on the site in Del Rey Hills. But a different campus for a Lutheran university was built in the 1950s.
