Vremsak is assisted by someone's hand as he steps out of a small plane, wearing a three-piece suit and with heavy bags under his eyes.
Vremsak was held by captors acting under General Don Villareal, where he was denied food and water and forced to sleep on the ground. A ransom from the United States was attempted for Vremsak and other victims of the kidnapping, which ultimately lead to his release.
Photograph appears with the article, "Americans Set Free By Kidnapers," Los Angeles Times, 26 Mar 1935: 1.
