George Wilson played football at the University of Washington from 1923 to 1925. During his three years with the Huskies they won 28 games, lost three, were tied three times, and went to the Rose Bowl twice. He is one of only three Husky football players to have his number (33) retired; three-time All-American halfback and member of the 1924 and 1926 Rose Bowl teams.
