Long Beach City Councilman Claude A. Winstead asks that an accusation filed against him be quashed. Winstead is accused of two counts of willful misconduct in office in violation of Section 336 of the city charter that a public official who recommends a relative for employment in city service is subject to removal. Winstead recommended employment of his brother-in-law and father-in-law to the city sanitation department.
