Ralph Wallace was a California Assemblyman of San Diego. William Mosley Jones of Montebello was the Speaker of the California State Assembly. Left to right: Ralph Wallace, William Mosley Jones and Ralph Welsh seated at the bench during a hearing in the California State Building in Los Angeles. Reported in: “Webb files suit to oust Gavin Craig: Bar also makes removal plea,” Los Angeles Times, 26 May 1935: 1. Ralph Welsh was an assemblyman in Los Angeles, and chairman of the Oil Industries Committee. Justice Gavin W. Craig was an associate justice of Division Two of the Second District of the State Courts of Appeal. His right to hold that position was challenged, on the basis of charges of attempted obstruction of justice in the Italo Petroleum Company case. There was a State Assembly hearing in the California State Building in which the Los Angeles Bar Association … demanded that the Assembly and Senate remove the justice [Gavin W. Craig.] by concurrent resolution. William Mosley Jones of Montebello; Ralph Wallace of San Diego, and Ralph L. Welsh of Los Angeles, with Jones acting as chairman, conducted the Assembly hearing, took statements of the Los Angeles Bar Association representatives and of other interested parties.
