Related to Los Angeles Times article, "Food Show Opens Today: Rare South Sea Island Birds Among Features; California Fish, Frozen in Ice, to be Displayed," 13 Nov. 1933: A1. Sylvia and Louise Haines, known as the Weber Gingham Twins, stand in front of the Weber Bread exhibit at the Food and Household Show, sponsored by the Southern California Retail Grocers Association. The women wear matching dresses and hats and hold loaves of bread. Signs on the exhibit read, "71 Webers Bread Dolly Madison Cakes," and "Weber's Bread outsells...excels... Dolly Madison." There is a display of Austin's Puppy Biscuits and Edgemont Butter Crackers at the right of the photograph. The neighboring exhibit features a sign that reads, in part, "Palms... Palm Springs in the making."
