This photograph appears with the article, "Annual Food and Household Show Will Open Today," Los Angeles Times, 14 Nov. 1932: A7 The La Sierra Industries exhibit at the Food and Household Show, sponsored by the Southern California Retail Grocers Association. A woman behind the booth passes samples to a visitor. A man behind the booth holds a child, and another man stands to the side. The exhibit features various soy-based products on the counter, as well as signs describing the types of items that are made of soy, including soy bologna and soy frozen milk. A sign in the back reads, in part, "Soy Bean Products, nature's alkalinizing food prefect food for all in the following products: soy milk, soy cheese, soy butter, soy coffee, soy loaf, soy sandwich spread, soy bologna..."
