The camera looks east and pans down at the Coliseum's field during the USC and Stanford football game of 1931. Along the bottom edge, crowds fill stands that descend towards the field. The field sits in the near distance at center. Players on the field line up for a play at right, just beyond the near end zone. Crowds fill the stands as they wrap around the long sides of the field. The main entrance to the Coliseum rises at the far end of the field in the distance at center.
