Off-center to the left, a St. Mary's Gael runs with the football and is tackled from behind by a Bruin. The tackler is obscured by the St. Mary's runner. To the right of the play on the ball, 4 Bruins and a Gael find themselves in a melee. Two Bruins, (No's. 34 & 33) stand and Bruin No. 24 kneels to the left of them. Another Bruin is on the ground in front of them and a Gael is about to land on the ground between all 4 Bruins. In the distance at left, a referee runs towards the play in the foreground. The stadium's stands stretch across the background. Text from negative sleeve: Football, U.C.L.A. VS. St. Mary's
