Kid Francis (Francesco Buonaugurio), was born in Naples. His boxing career took place from 1922 to 1936. He was murdered in Auschwitz in 1943.

Kid Francis, who sports the 118-pound title of all Europe and Young Nationalista, the hard-hitting Filipino will meet in the Olympic ring, Los Angeles, Nov. 17th, in an engagement that has all the earmarks of a warm battle.
