Photograph appears with the article, "Children to Partake in Film Fiesta," Los Angeles Times, 11 Dec 1927: B3.
Several children have offered their entertainment services for the Film Church Fiesta, a benefit affair staged by the Church of St. Mary of the Angels in Hollywood.
Joy is positioned in front of a dark curtain, one arm pointing upward and the other held parallel to her chest. She bends her head halfway backwards and gives a partial smile for the camera as she balances on the tips of her toes. Typed at the top of the photograph is JOY GARLAND BABY "STAR DANCER".
