Text from news agency caption: WATCH YOUR CREDIT*---------"P & A PHOTOS." LA 15015---------- (LOS ANGELES BUREAU) GOEBEL FINISHES TRANS CONTINENTAL HOP. ART GOEBEL, FLYING A LOCKHEED VEGA MONOPLANE ARRIVED AT MINES FIELD, LOS ANGELES JUST 23 HOURS AND 50 MINUTES FROM THE TIME HE LEFT ROOSEVELT FIELD, NEW YORK, AS AN ENTRY IN THE NON-STOP TRANS-CONTINENTAL AIR RACE. GOEBEL WAS FORCED TO LAND AT PHOENIX, ARIZONA FOR GAS, WHICH MAKES THE OUTCOME OF THE RACE DOUBTFUL, AS IT WAS THE NON-STOP FEATURE.
