Possibly related to the article, "A Great Exposition: Los Angeles County Fair Is Best Yet," Los Angeles Times, 28 Sep. 1930: J3. A woman visiting the Los Angeles County Fair poses in front of the Pomona agricultural exhibit. She stands at center and holds a basket of pears with one hand and holds up a pear near her face with the other. The display behind her is viewed at an angle from the front, facing right. The woman stands among squash that line the ground in front of the display. Behind her, a low platform stands across the display. A sign on front of it reads, "[P]OMONA." Produce, including pears and grapes, fill baskets sitting atop the platform. Farther back and at the center of the display, a figure sits on a throne atop an elevated platform. Behind the seated figure, a curtain hangs from a post- (or columns here) and-lintel frame. The tent-like ceiling of the larger display space stretches overhead in the background.
