Text from negative sleeve: Widow Arraigned as Slayer of Spouse, At the conclusion of a Coroner's inquest yesterday where jury members recommended that she be held for trials in the slaying of Eric B. Madison, Mrs. Nellie Madison, widow of the man, was formally arraigned on a charge of murdering her husband. The photograph below shows Mrs. Madison and one of her attorneys, frank Ryan, as they stood before Police Judge Watson in Burbank and heard the charge. Her preliminary hearing was set for April 12 at 10 a.m.
