Text from newspaper caption: Ex-Mate Backs Mrs. Madison, The fact that they have been divorced will not prevent William J, Brown, an attorney, from aiding his former wife, Mrs. Nellie Madison, in her fight against the accusation of killing her husband, Eric Madison. This was made clear when the two (shown below) met in the County Jail, conversed privately for some time and then shook hands to bind the bargain.
