Clarence holds a gavel in his right hand.
Charles F. Maguire was an advertising manager for a paper factory and Clarence Lyman was an advertiser for Security-First National Bank in Los Angeles. Both were part of the Los Angeles Ad club, Lyman being the president.
On Lyman's button it says "Advertising Club, Clarence A. Lyman, Security First Nat'l Bank."
