Aimee McPherson was widely known for being an alleged kidnapping victim in 1926.
Some text from the letter: "Mrs. Kiergan Mallory...Dear Madam: We received your letter of 7th. of this month and are glad to give you the following information in reply to the same. The prices of the lots range from $600.00 to 1,125.00... Yours truly, Dorothy M. Chenoweth"
Aimee McPherson convinced her followers to purchase real estate for Angelus Temple and was being charged with a fraud suit for taking commission on the transaction.
