At center, over a dozen investigators dig for evidence outside the chicken coop on the Northcott family's ranch in Riverside County. Behind them, the chicken coop enters frame at left and stretches back towards center. Gordon S. Northcott was later tried and convicted for the serial murders of young boys in the area. His mother, Sarah Louisa Northcott, was also imprisoned for assisting him.
