Text from accompanying press release: WATCH YOUR CREDIT -----------"P & A PHOTOS" LA_15085----------(LOS ANGELES BUREAU) TRAIL OF ASSERTED BOY SLAYER FOLLOWED. THE TRAIL OF GORDON STEWART NORTHCOTT, THE MUCH SOUGH [sic] YOUTH IN THE RIVERSIDE "MURDER FARM" INVESTIGATION LED TO MINT CANYON, ABOUT 35 MILES FROM LOS ANGELES, WHERE A "MYSTERY SHACK" WAS DISCOVERED, IN WHICH OFFICERS FOUND THREE PAIRS OF BOYS' SHOES, ONE PAIR OF WHICH PARTIALLY WAS BURNED. IT WAS DISCOVERED ALSO THAT A WELL NEAR THE SHACK RECENTLY HAD BEEN FILLED IN. IT IS SAID THAT YOUNG NORTHCOTT HAD OCCUPIED THE CABIN SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, AND THE OFFICERS WERE LED THERE BY SANFORD CLARK, WHOSE STORY OF THE ASSERTED HUMAN BUTCHERY ON THE NORTHCOTT RANCH NEAR RIVERSIDE PRECIPITATED AN EXHAUSTIVE SEARCH FOR THE SUPPOSED VICTIMS.
