City's Boat House Sets Precedent. Los Angeles will have the first municipal boat clubhouse on the American continent, according to the Director of Boating and Beaches of the Los Angeles Department of Playgrounds and Parks. The boat clubhouse has been built on Cabrillo Beach at San Pedro and will be dedicated Nov. 10th next, with pageantry and water carnivals. The clubhouse will be the focal point for yachts, powers, boating, swimming and other aquatic sports at Los Angeles Harbor. Photo shows the Los Angeles city's boat house. (LA FM 14) 10/26/28
