From left to right, former U.S. Chamber of Commerce president John W. O'Leary, vice-president of the Western Advisory Council of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Paul Shoup, and director of the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce Dr. Claudius D. Murchison seated at a banquet table. Standing at a podium is president of the American Hawaiian Steamship Company Roger D. Lapham. This photograph was probably taken on December 3, 1934 at the Biltmore ballroom, where the Western Division of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Pacific Foreign Trade Council met to discuss and analyze commercial and economic problems.
