Text from negative sleeve: Otis, R. M. Dr., Physicist, 1924
Text from insert in negative sleeve: Physics Theories Upset at Technology Laboratories. Following the award of the Nobel Prize to Dr. Robert A. Millikan of the California Institute of Technology for his work on electrons, elaborate pioneering work is being undertaken by Dr. Millikan's associates at the institute and many radical discoveries that are astounding the scientific world are gradually being made known. While these are too technical for casual elaboration, the lay world is also taking considerable interest in the fact that the theories of physics are rapidly being upset. This picture shows Dr. R. M. Otis with the electroscope which had much to do with Dr. Millikan's winning of the Nobel prize. 4/30/24.
