Access to this collection is generously supported by Arcadia funds. A gun was found on Al Joseph's body, who was a reported criminal and gunman who used to work for Farmer Page. Milton "Farmer" Page was known for his illegal gambling operations in Los Angeles. He was acquitted and not charged with murder. Milton "Farmer" Page is presented with gun relating to his slaying of Al Joseph. Farmer page claimed it was self-defense at the Sorrento Club where the killing took place. In fact, the trail was actually held in the very same spot. Related to the article, "BULLET USURPS DUTY OF POLICE..." Los Angeles Times, 20 Feb. 1925: A5.
