Woman, likely Betty Herrick, sitting on the shore of beach, wearing a white bathing suit, with arms holding a large seashell to her ear. Bathing suit has flower and leaf appliqués at the shoulder, with a single diagonal shoulder strap. Beach is most likely in southern California. Seaweed and driftwood are visible on beach, cliffs and palm trees are visible in background. Text from negative sleeve: "Betty Herrick Herrick".
