Lobby of Windemere Hotel, with the architect John Lindsay standing next to the mantel. Other men are visible via the mirror that hangs over the mantel. Also visible are a sofa, coffee table and television, with a sign that reads "Public Television 10 cents 20 minutes".

John Lindsay, southern California architect, stands in the lobby of the Hotel Windemere. Lindsay was associated with at least two the firms: Palmer, Krisel & Lindsay, A.I.A. for a brief time around 1952; and John C. Lindsay and Associates. Lindsay was married to the actress Diana Lynn, and then the actress June Lockhart, with both marriages ending in divorce.
