John Lindsay, a southern California architect, was involved in the renovation of the Windemere Hotel in 1955. Lindsay was married to the actress Diana Lynn, and then the actress June Lockhart, with both marriages ending in divorce.
The front of the Windemere Hotel is pictured, with the name "Hotel Windemere" spelled out above the entrance way. A second sign reading "Bamboo Room" can be seen under the windows on the right side, and a third sign reading "Dancing" is visible to the right of the hotel. Palm trees lay in front of the hotel and cars are parked on the street.
