Sections of trees decorate the landscape of a house, possibly used as stepping stones. The negative sleeve lists the address as "12624 Sunset Blvd" but the address appears to have changed to "12628 Sunset Blvd".
Text from negative sleeve: Philbin, John Lindsay, #12624 Sunset Blvd, Brentwood, Photographed 10 AM, May 5, 1953, Adelbert Bartlett, 53515 [?], Santa Monica, Ex 58977.
The house was probably designed by John C. Lindsay, a southern California architect. Lindsay was associated with at least two the firms: Palmer, Krisel & Lindsay, A.I.A. for a brief time around 1952; and John C. Lindsay and Associates. Lindsay was married to the actress Diana Lynn, and then the actress June Lockhart, with both marriages ending in divorce.
