Spanish-style commercial buildings with arches, balconies, and tile roofs, with street and 3 parked cars in foreground, possibly rebuilt after 1925 earthquake. Business signs read: Johnston's Cafeteria, Johnston Cafeteria, Banks' Stationery Store, Tiernan Typewriter Exchange, Office Supplies, Typewriters, Desks, Brown-Du Mars Confectionery, Brown-Du Mars Confections of Quality, Hot Meals, Fountain, Solomon's. Johnston Cafeteria was located at 916 State St.
