The article states: The need of a new Courthouse and more courtrooms in Los Angeles county was emphasized yesterday, when every bit of available courtroom space was filled and officials were forced to commandeer the rooms of the Board of Supervisors on the third floor of the Hall of Records for the trial of a lawsuit assigned Superior Judge Baird … Eight men, in suits and ties, seated at two tables with papers and pens, with potted plant in background and fan on shelf near ceiling. Men are identified as: Ingle Carpenter, Harold Fendler, Leo Shapiro, and Sam Wolf, attorneys; Judge William S. Baird; County Clerk Elmer T. Crozier; witness Charles Simpson; court reporter M.A. Barr. Carpenter and Barr are seated with backs to camera; one man, probably Simpson, is mostly obscured by another, probably Crozier. They are in the new quarters of the County Supervisors located on the 5th floor of the Hall of Records, located at 220 N. Broadway.
