Thad Brown (left) kneels over a suspicious package that J. P. Filkas (right) cautiously inspects with one hand. A suspicious package was sent to William Gibbs McAdoo, junior Senator, at the Trans-America Building on July 24, 1934. It was moved to a vacant lot near 2nd and Flower streets by Det. Lt. Thad F.
