Hersee Moody Carson next to a painting attributed to Marie-François-Firmin Girard titled "Woman at the Well," following the auction of art and decorative arts in her home, Castle Kalmia (at 1486 N. Sweetzer Ave. above Sunset Blvd.). Mrs. Carson was the widow of George Campbell Carson a prospector and inventor.
