Murder suspect Gladys Carter seated at desk in office setting with Los Angeles County Jail matron Vada Sullivan. Carter looks on as Sullivan fills out form. The photograph may have been taken on April 25, 1935, when Carter was taken from Los Angeles General Hospital to Los Angeles Municipal Court, where she was arraigned for the murder of Frances Walker and ordered to be held at Los Angeles County Jail.
