Converse, Jr.) is one of three heirs to a fortune of more than $100,000,000 from his father's death. Photograph appears with the article, "Cowboy is Multimillionaire," Los Angeles Times, 05 Feb 1922: II1. On the property of the original Mexican land grant of Rancho Santa Paula y Saticoy. The ranch was purchaseed by Edmund C. Converse, Jr. in 1908. The large two-story house is surrounded by a lawn covered in brown patches and a scarce amount of grass.
