Text from newspaper caption: It Looks Like Mr. Cole Won All by Himself. You'd never guess it, but there were a lot of other guys in this race--the Southern California Conference cross-country gallop--which finished in the Rose Bowl yesterday. None of the other runners are in sight, and there are a lot of people who think Stanford will finish this far ahead of Columbia when they met in the Rose Bowl. Breasting the tape is Allen Cole of Redlands, whose four team-mates followed him over the line to give the Bulldogs the title by an overwhelming margin.
