Joseph Feingold was the representative for the Millinery Manufacturers Association. Chairman Joy L. Leonard was one of the mediators. Left to right: Joseph Feingold, Joy L. Leonard, and Max Zaritsky. They all wear three piece suits and are standing behind a wooden table and in front of wooden chairs. Leonard holds a clip board in his left hand and a pen in his right. A deskpad, a pen holder with pens, and two inkwells are on the table in front of them. Related to "Union Gives Strike Call: Millinery Group Quits Today," Los Angeles Times, 21 Mar 1935: A5. The International Millinery Workers' Union and the Millinery Manufacturers Association were unable to come to agreement on a new contract regarding employee firings and the union heads ordered a strike. 1200 workers went on strike March 21, 1935.
