Text from newspaper caption: Dr. W. A. Bryan, curator of the Los Angeles Museum; Mrs. Julia Bracken Wendt, sculptress; John Steven McGroarty, California poet laureate, and Mrs. A. S. C. Forbes, founder of the California History and Landmarks Club, were the principals Thursday afternoon in a dramatic scene when a bronze bust of Mr. McGroarty was unveiled at club headquarters. The bust, made by MRs. Wendt, was presented to the city of Los Angeles and will be placed in the rotunda of the museum - a signal honor for the poet laureate and an appreciated work done by lovers of California history.
