Major General Malin Craig of the Ninth Corps Area has inspected Fort MacArthur for the first time since he took his new post at San Francisco last fall.
General Craig holds a book open while Lieut.-Col. Cross and Lieut.-Col. MacMillan stand to the side, watching him. The three men wear identical uniforms except for MacMillan and Cross, who wear swords in their holsters.
