View of the entrance to a mining shaft on the grounds of the Neil claim in San Gabriel Canyon.
The San Gabriel Dam is a rock-fill dam on the San Gabriel River in Los Angeles County, California, within the Angeles National Forest. It was under construction from 1932 to completion in 1939. Mining claims were ultimately purchased in the process of the planning and building of the San Gabriel Dam.
